You know it's true. One mention of that show or one of the games sends a chill down your spine. You see a tee-shirt with a picture on it and you loose focus and think of all those years ago when you were addicted. No matter how hard you try, you can't get it out of your head...your not alone.
Yes, Pokemon was one of the most popular fads since that Beanie Baby. Like all fads, the beanie baby fell down in the market and production just about halted. Well, don't you think it's Pokemons turn? This Pokemon crap has been going on for about 5 years. I was in 5th grade when I first heard of it. I saw the show once, and I had to watch it again...and again...and again...and again. I got addicted just like everyone else. Spending a lot of money, purchasing all the games, buying anything I could get my grubby little hands on. Then things got worse with the introduction of the card game. Everyone collected. We traded, bought, sold, and some of us even stole pokemon gear (I wasn't stealing anything though...if thats what you were thinking...was that what you were thinking? <.< >.> -.-;;;). But, now that we're older, we realise how stupid the show was. I can list a few reasons off the top of my head for why it's stupid.
- First off, if someone destroys your bike, you don't go following him around the whole damn world. I'd just sue his ass or his parents.(RE: Misty)
- The show is very repetitive. I babysit these little kids on my street from time to time, and all they watch is Pokemon. From what I've noticed, Everything is "I'm gonna catch that one" and "don't worry, we'll help you". Gets very boring and retarded.
- It makes me feel terrible knowing how these little kids are hypnotised into buying the junk 4 kids produces. I went to the mall the other day and saw a kid throwing a hissy fit because his dad wouldn't buy him a Pokemon toy (I didn't really care enough to look at which one). They make all this money intimidating little kids into believing that little pieces of cardboard can be worth $100. I'm sure some obsessed, and I mean REALLY obsessed people would only pay that much. I have some of the cards in my closet somewhere, and I only take them out when I go babysitting. I trade them with the kids and don't mind being ripped...their just cardboard.
- They have some of the weirdest names for these things. Pikachu? Squirtle? Bulb...bulbam...bulbambomous or whatever? I'd look it up but I'm too lazy. But come on...there are weirder names on Yu-Gi-Oh.
- There are like, 15 games out all based on this TV show. Come on People...enough's enough.
If you didn't get my point with these 5 items, basically what I'm trying to say is...SCREW YOU PIKACHU!!!!!!!! (heh...that rhymes...)
