Megaman & Bass is the one of new Megaman games.
Plot: 6/10
Sorry Capcom, but you gotta admit, Megaman games really don't have visable plots. They do sometimes, but not all the time. Unless your talking about Megaman Battle Network games...those have really visable plots. I have the game Megaman X...and I lost the book a looooooooong time ago. It took me a while to really figure out what was really happening. But anyway, MM&B does have a plot, but it's not very good. Basically, a new robot named King appears in a Robot Museum declaring he's the strongest robot in the universe. Then after taking care of Protoman, he steal a bunch of robot data and constructs some new robots (like our old friends, Astroman and Tenguman). My question is, If he's the most powerful Robot in the universe, why does he need more robots to protect him? Anyway, Megaman and Bass form an allience to stop him. Megaman to avenge Protoman and stop King, Bass to prove he's the strongest. Then when Megaman and Bass destroy him, they figure out it was Wiley behind the whole thing. Yawn.
Graphic: 7/10
Pretty good for a sidescroller. Everything is clear. The graphics are almost like MM8 for the Playstation. 7/10
Sound: 8/10
Pretty good sound. Very techno and futuristic. Thats pretty all you can expect from a Megaman game. But at times, the music gets very annoying. 8/10
Gameplay: 10/10
This game is hard as hell. And thats how I like my games. First off, the differences between the characters set how difficult the level is. For example:
Megaman has no rapid fire thing like Bass, so the levels are harder. But the Bosses are much easier, because when you charge your shot, you can do more damage. Bass, on the other hand, has a easier time with the levels. Probably because he can fire rapidly at enemies. But when facing bosses, only one shot can hit them at a time, so the rapid fire thing is abolutly no help. This can be a problem if you run out of the special power that boss is weak against (damn you Groundman). So this game is definatly a challenge, and like I said before, thats how I like em.
Overall: 3.1/4
An ok game, get it if you like challenges. You won't be dissapointed. But if you hate hard games, this is not for you.
